Jayla Santian

Jayla grew up with her mother and father in Dathomir. Her early life was relatively peaceful, her parents treating her with love and teaching her basic life skills as she grew. She was the only child her parents had, so she was at the forefront of their attention, which brought her even closer to them.
They lived a relatively normal life, raising Jayla to be a strong, smart woman and teaching her skills, such as combat and wit. Her mom was the main mentor in her life who taught her everything she knows to this day.
Ever since she was little, her parents, by their independent choice, were loyal to the Empire and would exchange information about the empire’s enemies to them in exchange for credits/privileges. As the years progressed and Jayla grew, she was raised to look up to the Imperials and their morals, and as soon as she became an adult, she enlisted as a Stormtrooper, pursuing her dream career to serve the Imperials. She loved her job, though she often found it off-putting that she was encouraged to lose her sense of identity and independence while working as a stormtrooper. But she shrugged her doubts off, since she was serving what she saw as a good cause, and making her parents proud.
Life progressed, her family serving the Imperials loyally and her working as a trooper, showing the Empire the loyalty and respect that her parents had taught her. She grew to be a well respected and trusted trooper within the Imperial forces, as she was very proactive and would take on any task assigned or that needed to be done. Life went on like this as always… until Jayla’s parents told her they were working as rebel spies. They informed her that they had received an offer from the rebels to exchange information for a higher pay than the Imperials offered, and they had changed their morals and had been feeding the Rebels information about the Empire for months.
In a rage at them for possibly jeopardising her beloved career as a trooper and for betraying the values they had ingrained into her, she turned them in to the Imperials as traitors and they were swiftly executed. She was rewarded for being loyal, though her family scandal did draw a bit of suspicion to her position. After her parents were executed, she stared at the blood on her hands, her rage dying down, regretting what she’d done. She had truly loved her parents, and in the whirlwind of wanting to fit into the Empire, she had betrayed her own personal morals. She started to question her loyalty to the Imperials, leading her to decide to form her own values and rip herself from their grasp.
After much thinking, she deserted her stormtrooper duties suddenly. She pursued a rogue career, in which she steals from and messes with Imperial forces, steals things for her own benefit, occasionally helps the Resistance, occasionally catches bounties when low on money, etc. She hitchhikes/is a stowaway in ships to travel around the galaxy to go to bars, complete missions, and stuff like that. She is currently wanted by the Imperial forces for 25,000 credits for her many crimes, such as treason, thievery, and severe tampering with Imperial property. She accomplishes these many crimes by stowing away in ships, getting rides from connections, and occasionally hitchhiking, though that is a last resort.
